Nice room, a bit old-school. Light soundproofing, but the neighborhood is quiet. Friendly but quick check-in. Very good breakfast.

Clarence Court Hotel is an example of how to provide good service. As a group of senior golfers, I had to make one or two changes at late notice, but Elaine was very understanding and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast a perfect way to start the day. It is only 5-10 minutes walk from the Brewery Quarter and lots of nice restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking also. We will definitely return.

Stay 18th - 20th June Whilst the hotel was ideally located, everything was perfect. The manager Char done everything she could to make our stay perfect, kind and polite at all times. If I have to give a negative remark, it would be about the breakfast on the last day. The breakfast was included in the price and was termed as a Full English. My wife decided on Bacon and Tomatoes. This was ordered. When it arrived at the table, there was a large plate with one small rasher of bacon and half of a cherry tomato and was served up by the hotel owners wife. What was also hilarious was the fact that the food was cooked by the owner himself. The meal could have been served on a small saucer. How they could have even bothered to serve such food is beyond us. But the compliments should all go to Char , the manager

Ww have just enjoyed a lovely stay at Clarence Court. Our room (Copenhagen) was superb, and excellent Abbie and the team really looked after us well. We met Elaine, and, having stayed here about ten years ago, can see that she has effected appreciable improvement in many areas. Highly recommended. And thank you!

The staff are pleasant and the location convenient. However, the room we were allocated (No. 19) would need a good lick of paint. There was also an intermittent thudding sound which we couldn't identify. Breakfast was mediocre and being charged £5 to park our car in the tiny hotel carpark was a bit steep. Not a bad experience but we would have expected a little more for our £134 a night.

Another great boutique hotel very close to the centre of Cheltenham and a short-ish distance from the Cheltenham Racecourse. Relatively new owners who are pumping money into the place to smarten it up and modernise it.

Quirky hotel but great location for exploring Cheltenham. This hotel is not suitable for anyone with a mobility issue as the stairs are all incredibly steep and also the entrance steps are extremely steep and narrow. Free customer parking is a bonus as the square is full of parked vehicles. The room was clean if dated and certainly requires some tlc. Staff are charming and helpful. Breakfast was adequate there was quite a choice.

The hotel is period and has a loveky ambience. The room was well stock and perfect for our short stay. The location is excellent with parking included which was so welcome. The food in tge restaurant at night was 5 star and the breakfast was excellent, easily the best I have been served in any hotel I have stayed. Produce used is excellent. All staff are professional, extremely courteous and very helpful. I would highly recommend.

Dog friendly period hotel that is clean and well placed in the city centre. Breakfast buffet pretty basic but the hot food served to order tasted great. Plus points for the off road parking, electric vehicle charging point and the dog walking park directly opposite in the square.

Stayed here at least four times now. The rooms are generally a good size with excellent beds and thick curtains to block out the light. I'm a poor sleeper but sleep well there. There is an issue with the showers in some rooms as there is no door, the bathroom floor gets wet. Irritating but not a big deal. Staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a bar and restaurant but note the restaurant isn't open on Monday nights. You can walk in to Cheltenham centre in 5m so plenty of choice for food, drinks and shopping. There isn't much parking but I have been able to park everytime I have been there. Thoroughly recommended and a great value place to stay
